Samurai Jack

I grew up watching this show and still to this day I think this is one of the most deep, cinematic and artistic cartoons to ever grace the television screen, anime of course excluded. I remember watching this show with my father growing up and while my father was never really interested in cartoons of any sort I believe this struck a chord with him.
Now first of all, I think it's quite amazing that a cartoon took such a radical approach to the usual formula. With minimal dialogue, intense cinematic action sequences, and an episode list that was still linear but interchangeable at the same time this cartoon is simply a masterpiece.
Aku was my favorite villain in any action cartoon I've ever watched. He is the epitome of evil, hate and manipulation. For a cartoon on a children's network Aku was an extremely different type of antagonist. That first episode of Samurai Jack, showed Aku at his finest: pure evil and malice and set the tone for what would be an amazing series.
There is not doubt in my mind that Samurai Jack is art. Now that I've downloaded all the seasons, it's time to rewatch the cartoon that made such an incredible impact on my childhood.
